Menwinnion Country House Care Home, Cornwall

Menwinnion Care Home is located in Lamorna Valley on the southwest tip of Cornwall, which is 5 miles from Penzance.

On arrival in Penzance as you pass the British Rail Station on the left follow the road along the seafront towards Newlyn. At Newlyn continue along the B3315 in the direction of Lamorna and Porthcurno, travel through Sheffield before passing the turning marked to Lamorna. At the top of the hill turn left at sign for Menwinnion.

We have our own transport arrangements for regular local trips and transporting residents to various clinics or medical appointments.

Residents are welcome to bring their own transport and we have plentiful visitors parking.

Many visitors take advantage of our location and take the short walk down to the sea at Lamorna Cove, made famous by the movie "Summer in February", have a beer in the old smugglers pub, the Wink or a meal at the Lamorna Cove Hotel. A short walk in the other direction takes you up to the Merry Maidens neolithic stone circle. The entire area is full of magic, myth and legend, stunning the land and sea scapes many of which feature in historic paintings.
